Simulations /Speculations

Through computer-generated technology, I develop geometrical compositions, which later I transfer to canvas. Their playful arbitrariness resembles modernist language but without the charge of its former ideology. The paintings replicate this sense of simulacra, which is so present in our post-communist societies, where the feedback loop between virtuality and reality is barely distinguishable, where the physical mimics the digital and our built environment is an articulation of projection.
